Hi,

in my document I use coloured text and (mostly vector) graphics. Any
advice what colour space to use? The document is supposed to be read as
a pdf and printed out.

If I understand pdf/a correctly, one colour icc profile is attached
which declares the color space. I guess sRGB would be the simplest in my
workflow because all my plotting applications seem to produce sRGB and I
am not really sure how to convert the vector graphics pdf to CMYK. In
the latex document I can also define the colours using RGB. Here I
suppose that using the (x)color package and RGB colour model does not
define which colour space is used (like a jpg without colour space
information) but attaching an sRGB.icc would solve that.

The needed accuracy of the (printed) colours is not very high although
I'd like to be sure that a dark red stays a dark red. Is there a way to
soft proof a pdf?

Thanks
Sebastian
