Evening, Chris...don't have Quicksilver, but, I believe 6.2 is similar.
When you look at the bottom of the page, do you see "1" on the
left and "the last page of the document" i.e., 55, for a 55 page document?
Or, does it show "3" and just jumps from "3" back to "1"? Does the
paging work correctly if you use the "Page Up" and "Page Down" keys?
They're located to the right of the "Home" and "End" keys.

Your "book" consists of multiple documents. That's probably why you're
seeing the behavior you reported. Answer Yes and you should see the next
page.

Seems pretty easy to me already. But then I used to set foundry type in
a composing stick, so maybe my notion of "easy" is incommensurate with
yours.

Check 'View Book as Document' in the File Properties of the book.
