Will PuTTY work like a Paper Tape reader..?

Hi all,
I have an old National Semiconductor SC/MP kit (1976 Microcomputer)
that uses an ASR33 TTY with a paper tape punch and reader as a
console. I use to use the paper tape reader to enter a program using
the operating system called "KITBUG". Using the "M" modify command. I
no longer have the ASR33 TTY and want to use PuTTY on my laptop... more »

@ causes new line in putty

I'm not technical, use putty to get to our unix box. Have new laptop
with windows 7. using putty 0.61 and everytime I put in something
that has @ in it putty sends me to the next line. Hopefully there's an
easy fix for this? Please reply to sandra.b...@hp.com. thanks you

Unicode UTF-8 problem with Putty

In UTF-8 mode Putty ignores ANSI (DEC) box-drawing escape sequences.
Is this a bug in Putty?
I am converting an application from code-page 437 to UTF-8.
Previously Putty was set to interpret data as CP437, I changed that to UTF-8 (Settings, Window, Translation)

SFTP Sessions close from Linux server access by Putty

This is a long shot, but I am getting desperate. We are in the
process of upgrading our Tectia Server for z/OS from 6.1 to 6.2. We
are able to establish an sftp session from an openssh server to a v6.1
server but get a session closed error message when trying to sftp to

I have not ventured too far into the Indo-Chinese but there were
couple of items like chicken 65. I was curious enough to try it. It

use of putty

I am on Windows. I would like to telnet-raw to my http server and issue a command,
then issue another. The problem is one option it closes on exit, another option
it stays open but won't let me enter any more.
How can I, within one window, do that?
e.g.
issue a GET, get the response. Then in the same Window, issue another GET.... more »
