Heya,

I'm testing around a bit with the TI-Link stuff.
I've set up my TI-83 (in fact, TI-82 STATS) with a custom-made serial
adapter (COM1 or /dev/ttyS0).
So far I've got a working TiLP on Windows and Ubuntu, everything runs
well.
But, when I try to capture the live hex stream on the console, I get
no input/output whatsoever.
Of course, while TiLP is running, you can't view the stream, because
the port gets locked.
But if TilP isn't running, and I do
# hexdump /dev/ttyS0
I get just no output if I try to send a file from the calculator the
computer. Same for Hyperterm/PuTTY on windows.

Has someone already got this working or can give me a hint?

Greets
Jonas

Just a guess since I don't have one of these, but it sounds as if your
cable is not wired right. You may want to search google for null modem
cable designs and make sure you are crossing the correct wires. I
believe (off the top of my head, has been 20+ years since making one)
you need to cross clear to receive with ready to send and transmit
data with receive data. If the cable is right then it may be a
settings issue, but since it doesnt work with windows or linux I would
say the odds are it is the cable.
