I am trying to set the CMOS settings on a 2500 XL. The
floppy connector is built into the motherboard and will
not work a floppy. I also tried to connect a seperate
controller in an ISA slot but no luck (possible conflict
with built-in controller??). Does anyone know of a way to
disable the built-in connector? I have the floppy disk
with the setupxl.com on it but no way to access the
floppy and get into the setup. Any suggestions?????

use a 720kb diskette (double density) and that's right ;) if you dont have just put a masking tape on left side and format your disk. default cmos setting in 2500xl is 720kb and not 1.44 but if you succeed to load setupxl.com you can change is to a 1.44mb. good luck
