NSK Based Companies
Hi, Not sure if THIS is the correct channel to post this in, but does anyone know companies in the USA which offer Tandem based jobs? Or has Tandem completely died out in the USA?

I need to do routing with IP/V6
I have 2 systems, let me call them sysa and sysb. Sysa is connected to a special network "nets" via the IP/V7 product because we need the failover feature. Because of the very special structure of that network we are not able to add sysb to that network with the same functionality as sysa. That would require a redesign. The redesign has already been initiated but because of a bunch of partners involved that will take a lot of time.... more »

Free HP NonStop Server Software!
Free Software: The NonStop Environment, Multi-Threading In order to more seriously pursue my research and writing activities (and to spend more time on our golf courses), I have decided to upgrade my social standing from “semi-retired” to “fully retired”! To celebrate this momentuous event, I am giving away my entire NSE/MT software package, including the Queue Manager Process (QMP), to the HP NonStop Server Users Community, by simply placing the whole NSE/MT ball of wax in the “Public Domain.” Source included. No strings attached. This is not a scam…... more »

How to identify TCP port number used by JAVA processes on OSS environment
I had no luck in identifying port numbers used by JAVA processes running on the OSS environment. Unlike in guardian application, figuring out the port number associated with OSS processes seem to be next to impossible. SCF listopens shows one of OSS transport agent processes, $ZTA?? as the socket opener. How do we associate user processes to $ZTA?? to... more »

Simplified the build process for Java JNI on NonStop using maven
Based on the example javahjni that comes with NonStop Java in the demo subdirectory and the native-maven-plugin, I've put together a build framework for exposing Guardian proc calls (in 'C') from NSJ6 [link] Java on NonStop isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you are using Java and need something like the 48 bit timestamp, this should make the process easier; you do need to install maven in OSS and you need to be able to connect out to either a local repository manager (eg: nexus, artifactory or archiva) or to the internet based maven repos - maven does support proxy configuration if your NonStop can route via one.... more »
