Help me validating a statement from KBNS

This is regarding TCP/IPv6 implementation on NonStop:

TCP/IPv6 Migration Guide says that, when TCP6SAM, as Transport Service Provider, dies, backup takes over and all existing sockets survive.

On the other hand, one KBNS article says while describing the the different roles of the MON, SAM, and TCPLIB:

Aborting the SAM process will cause termination of all NSK sockets using the process. No affect on QIO or OSS sockets.

Which one is correct? I am talking about Guardian Sockets only.

Wouldn't "aborting the SAM process" in this context mean to kill primary and
backup?

Other than that: this is an excellent question for GNSC ;-)
