I should have cross posted this to css and ca:
After tracking down my address book and sending email,
and trying to maintain some confidentiality I must sadly report:
>Neil passed away Friday, Jan 26, surrounded by family and a few close
>friends. Xxxx Xxxxx was there and reported that he passed on peacefully.
From another person of the ETA crew.
Neil was quite a character.
He had some of the most colorful paper titles that never would have
passed internal review in government bureaucracies.
He will be missed.
