I am doing a Live Upgrade on several nearly identical systems. It's working great, but I am curious about a strange "lucopy.errors" file. On one of my systems, the following "lucopy.error" file was generated: 0 blocks 0 blocks That's it. The entire file. No files identified. Couldn't tell if there was something that needed to be fixed. hello, I'm having trouble printing on solaris 7 x86. there are 2 offices connected via VPN. server is at main site, printer is at remote site. For the archives: Several days ago, syslog messages began appearing on our SIMS 4.0 mail host: SUNWmail.ims.ims_master[23166] : read_from_mta_thr exiting: casino_get failed After awhile the MTA wasn't delivering new mail to IMAP or POP3 clients. Pardon the newbie-like question. I have several solaris 8 boxes which I have been managing for a while, and I just got a new soaris 10 box (sun fire x4240) that I am trying to set up. I have an array of 12 SAS disks that I have just set up as a raid5 using StorMan.sh (which I got off of the tools cd that came with the computer).... more »

I have a couple V480 systems with an early version of Solaris 10. They have been very heavily patched over the past few years, probably way more than necessary (i.e., almost every patch, as opposed to just Recommended & Security). There are no problems, but I am thinking that it might be time for a fresh install, to be followed by patching... more »

Hi all, I have a Sun Ultra 60 system on which, over the past several years, i have set up Apache, MySQL, SVN and CVS servers, a tape backup system and a host of other apps customized to my needs. I have a SUN Ultra 10 system running on Solaris 8. Last couple of times the system crashed and required fsck to be run on it. I ran fsck successfully and the system had been working fine after that for about 2 weeks but since Feb 13th the following errors have started being reported in the messages file and same on the console screen.... more »
