This morning, 2 of our current 18 SunRay 1s had died when we got to
work. Dead as in nothing on the monitor and the front LED being
amber instead of green.

What was funny is that these were two of three Sunrays we initially
"borrowed" from Sun last year when we tested if it was a technology we
could use (obviously it was, we're very happy Sunray users). What's
not so funny is that the third is the one on my desk, which at least
was working when I left earlier today :-)

The serial numbers of these two dead units are HD030020952 and
HD030020953, and according to Sun they (and the third one HD030021845)
are all subject to a Field Change Order (FCO), because they're
currently having trouble with a certain range of serial numbers.

I hadn't heard of this FCO before this morning, so I'd suggest you
contact Sun if you have older rays about (our four batches of rays
have serial-numbers

HD03002.... Affected
HD04802.... Not affected
HD05203.... Not affected
HD10200.... Not affected

Cheers,
