sunpci card not seeing floppy

I have an Ultra 10 with a SUNpci card that is not seeing the floppy drive
in my computer. I can map the drive to \\localhost\floppy and have access
to the drive, but that is not the way it should be. I can read and write
from within Solaris 7 and Unix, but not through the "a drive". if anyone
can give me a hand, that would be great.
