I'm trying to remotely mount a Solaris OS 8 CDROM on a Solaris 8 box
and the host machine is running Solaris 10.

Here are the steps:

Host machine:

1) command line> share -D nfs -d "cdrom" /cdrom
2) I then edited the dfstab fille: share -F nfs -0 rq=machinename -d
"cdrom" /cdrom

On the remote machine I execute the following commands

mount remotehost:/cdrom /cdrom

It looks like it mounted, but when I go into the cdrom directory on
the remote machine /cdrom/s0 I don't see anything where I should be
seeing several directories.

Thanks
Patrick

What is the mountpoint of the cdrom on the remotehost ?

Im guessing its not just /cdrom but more like /cdrom/sol10
