SunRay 2FS MTU
I'm having issues with horizontal lines and slow redraws on my SunRay 2FS. I'm running Sun V440s, have very few customers using the system at this time, and the performance (slow draw and horizontal lines) are unacceptable. The SunRays are on a LAN, and have zero WAN clients at this time. I been doing quite a bit a research and think I have my issue narrowed... more »

Console access to Sun Fire V880
Hi, yesterday we received a Sun Fire V880 server here, which is being used as a development and test machine. In particular, I have no idea about network... more »

more than 2 disks in an Ultra 20??
I just bought an Ultra 20 with the plan of installing a pair of ZFS mirrored disks in addition to the boot (system) disk. But I've just realized the Ultra 20 has room for only 2 disks in the drive cage. Is there an internal expansion cage available? Has anyone else solved this problem another way? This is a very lightweight use, a home file server,... more »

Solaris10 x86 breaks tape
I'm migrating stuff from ancient Solaris9 SPARC boxes to a Sun Fire X2250 running Solaris10 x86. Everything is working except the SONY TSL-9000 DDS autoloaders. The st driver configures properly and finds the tape drives. The sgen driver finds the tape drives on LUN 0 and creates the /dev/scsi/sequential tree but it can't seem to find the changer devices... more »

Good morning, Wondering if anyone has successfully implemented the 'bbcombotest' functionality in the Hobbit system monitoring tool. I've read all the available docs so far.
