Hi Spechums. Delurked to try and get an answer from some of you experts.

I know a bloke called Alan Rossant who adamantly claims to be the author or
an author of Heavy on the Magik published by Gargoyle Games.

I was suspicious when he kept going on about it and a search through the
WOS archive would suggest it was co-written by Greg Follis and Roy Carter,
who were responsible for the rest in the series Tir Na Nog, Dun Darach etc.

Pictures of both Greg and Roy look nothing like this bloke I know

So is this Alan Rossant bloke lying through his teeth?

Probably, but I don't see how you can debunk him, because if you ask him
things about the game code he will say he's forgotten by now, and if you
ask him to show that he knows those two people and worked with them, he'll
say he's out of touch with them, etc...

Eq.

Dunno but at least one of the two you mentioned claimed many moons ago to
hold the copyright and was willing to have the games sent around for
nothing. I'm out of the loop these days, and any written permissions are
long gone either to Chezron or the bin.

And verily, didst Paul E Collins <equi...@cl4.invalid> hastily babble thusly:
Suppose one thing that could be done is scan memory for his name.
Imagine programmers add that and other little details or jokes into the
unused bits. Hardly conclusive but if his name appears you confirm it.
