Subject: Spectrum +2 Datacorder repair
I've just acquired a nice grey case +2 from eBay. I used to have one
of these when I was 13 and it's lovely to own one again. :)

It all works fine, although the datacorder seems rather the worse for
wear. It saves and loads without any trouble, but the mechanism makes
rather nasty grinding noises and the whole thing seems rather worn
out. I opened it up to see if I could see anything obvious, but it
looks alright to my untrained eye (although the drive belt seems
rather loose).

Is there anything an uninitiated person like myself could do to get it
running a bit more smoothly?

Lee
