can anyone recommend the best PC Spectrum Emulator?

I have though to buy a Spectrum Emulator with games off ebay but would
like to try a free emulator first and see what games are available

Hi!

Klive.

It runs very well. Tape-loader is easy for me to use (F-keys control),
and also the full-screen (scanlines) looks 'best' to me.
You can use a public screen for fullscreen (50Hz... 100Hz! 320x240 or
640x480 etc.). errm, off course not with a TFT-flatscreen and such
blu-raying cr.. ;-)

Bernard Manning's PakiSpec. Honestly, that's the most PC one.

No. Your question is too vague. However, there are many you might like
to try at no cost: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/emulators.html

You should not encourage ebay pirates who charge for free software.
The vast amount of Spectrum software is available legally, without
charge, here: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/archive.html

I used to love ZX32 for Windows, though I've found it increasingly
finickity. Considering biting the bullet and just buy Spectaculator.
