The YS Rock'n'Roll Years
------------------------

Every owner of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, in any of its forms,
should remember one of the most entertaining computer magazines
ever published: Your Sinclair. YS ran as Your Spectrum for a couple
of years before being relaunched as Your Sinclair at Christmas 1985.

YS ran until 1993 and outlasted all the other Spectrum magazines
that were sold at the time. During this time various breakthroughs
in game design arose that we now all take for granted in these days
of multi-megabyte memory, multicolour graphics home computer systems.

The YS Rock'n'Roll Years aims to relive those days, so sit back,
relax, and indulge yourself into some serious nostalgia.

June 1989 - Issue 42

General
-------

Very very crap cover tape - Explorer (Electric Dreams, unreviewed in
YS, but other mags gave it around 25%) and a demo of System 3's
Dominator. A sign of things to come?
Shock news - T'zer gets promoted, so Matt Bielby gets bumped up to
the Editor's post.
Lightguns appear on the Speccy, and prove to be just a fad.
Second-hand Speccy buyers guide: 48k £40, 48k+ £50, 128k £80, +2
£100, +3 £150.
St Dragon is covered in Slots of Fun.
Activision announces it's big licences for the year, the highlights
being Power Drift, Altered Beast, Dynamite Dux and Ghostbusters II.
YS starts to advertise on the radio.
National Rescue makes it's last appearance.
