hello,
i tried to use my o2 with a zyxel 1496eg and vgetty.
i attached vgetty to ttyd2 and the log tells me it can recognise
incoming calls.
after the specified number of rings the modem clicks and the log shows
that's playing the
message but it doen't pickup! the real phone doesn't ring any longer but
the caller still gets the
normal signal and not the message.
i also noticed this in the log:
WARNING: DSR is off
i have rom release 6.15.
thanks in advance
Hi,
I'm just curious, where did you get vgetty ?

You need to use /dev/ttf2 when using a modem.
Lots more info at <URL:http://reality.sgiweb.org/scotth/dialup-support.html>
w> i have rom release 6.15.
There is no such release. Could it be 6.5.15?

Well, it looks like it worked as an answering machine, and then
tried to connect as a modem, and there wasn't (a compatible) one on
the other end... (the "NO CARRIER")
