Model SE50M

Not sure how much readership here overlaps the cctalk list; apologies
if this is a rehash for some of you.

A note was posted there today asking about the model number SE50M.
A machine with such a model number on its back panel id sticker is
in the collection of the Rhode Island Computer Museum. This link
to some photos was included:

It's clearly a 9x50 family machine. The poster has me curious now,
so if anyone has insight, I'd appreciate hearing about it. If nothing
else, hey, it's photos of some Prime gear.

I notice RICM also has a 2850 listed in their collection.

My guess is this machine was sold by a VAR (Value Added Reseller). If
true, they must have been big to justify getting their own model
numbers from Prime. But then again, it's just a printed sticker.
