I had no serious problem moving from a Treo 650 to an iPhone 3G three
years ago. Most of the 3rd-party software I had on the Treo had iPhone
versions (the exception was just announced this week, rather too late
for me). Some of the old Palm vendors, however, don't take the iPhone
seriously enough and offer slapdash ports by (apparently) trainee
programmers, so consider switching, before or after the actual
conversion.
