I have a Palm Vx which I would like to be able to sync to my Mac.
Palm Desktop now dies in the DateBook sync, and I would like to be
able to ditch OSX Tiger; for both these reasons I need something to
replace Palm Desktop and Hotsync Manager. Although The Missing Sync
documentation does not list the Vx as a supported device, I had a
suspicion it's because the Vx originally came with Palm OS 3, which MS
does not support. So since it claims to support Palm OS 4, and my Vx
runs OS 4, I thought it was worth a try and I plopped down $20 for the
product. But I can't get it to work.
I though I had gone thru the setup procudure, but when the hotsync
button (on the USB cradle), after a minute or two it comes back with
"The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could
not be established". I am lost. None of the conduits in the
Missing Sync for Palm OS main window are the same as the conduits I'm
used to on the Palm (DateBook, Address, Todo List, Memo). I must b
doing something dumb with the setup but I simply don't know how to
proceed. Thanks for any help.
