Yes, you are right. You can read but not write to a 2GB card on a T3.
You can not format the card on the palm, just on another computer.

Thanks! Can it read it all? Or does it need to be formatted as a 1,5 GB
disk?
It sounds great, BTW! With that amount of data, I only need to read it..
I've got smaller cards for other stuff...
esben
No, you don't need to format it to 1,5GB.
You only will have issues when applications need to write to the card.
Films no problem etc

A very late follow-up, but can it read even larger cards, like 4 GB?
(The thing is my camera just crashed it's card so I will be buying right
now anyway)
I don't expect it to be able to read SDHC or SDXC cards...

There is a 3rd party hack to the SDIO driver that allows read and write
of up to 64Gigs by Dmitry Grinberg of PalmPowerUps.com

You can get a free FAT32 driver here that should make the T3 be able
to use up to a 4G SD (non-SDHC) card.

After posting I noticed a patch at the bottom of the same page that
might be a better fit for what you want to do. It's the last entry
called T3 - big Cards.
Yeah, that should get me at 4 GB whereas PowerSDHC doesn't support the
T3.
Thanks a lot!

You must be thinking of PowerSDHC - doesn't support T3 though
Thanks anyway!

Any luck with that? It won't install on my T3... :(

Won't install. I use JPilot to install software, and this is the first
time I've experienced a failure.
Don't the instructions say to install from the SD card, because it will
not install thru the Hotsync software debockle?

Aha! Reading the instructions - always a good idea! *blush*
Thanks for your help!
