right click on the hotsync icon on the task bar system area - the
lower right corner of your screen. The Hotsync icon is a small circle
in red and blue.
You should see an option for Settings. Click on that.
On Vista, you have to click on Applications, in the lower left, then
click on Show Details. On XP with an older version of hotsync, I thing
you get the list of conduits and their settings immediately.
First, make sure your Hotsync ID is correct. If you have more than one
palm, or ever used a different hotsync ID, you can use the drop down
list - typically at the top of the settings screen - to select the one
you want. If you are not sure what hotsync ID you are using, find
Hotsync on the Palm - the ID will display on the top line, on the
right.
What you want to see is Syncronize Files. It could be Do Nothing,
Desktop overwrites Handheld, or Handheld overwrites Desktop. If it is
NOT Sync Files, then double-click the line in question, click on Sync
Files, and Set As Default. Then click OK. If you DON'T click on Set as
default, whatever you choose will apply for the NEXT hotsync only -
then it will revert back to whatever it was.
If it already said Sync Files, then this is not your problem - sorry!
One other point - on my old XP desktop, which has gone through many
different Palm's, and version of Palm Desktop, I think I had 2 sets of
conduits for Outlook, with slight different names - like Tasks vs
ToDos - or something like that. Anyway, if you have that, I think one
set were all disabled, or set to Do Nothing. It's probably best to
leave those that way - since you said your other conduits are working
OK, you should be able to identify the set of conduits you want, since
they will say Sync Files.
Hope this helps.
