Greetings one and all,
Over the past few weeks I have installed and have been working on Linux on
my other PC.

This one is still running Windows XP Pro, and I do have problems with
Euphoric crash loading from time to time, as well as the sound issue.

I had tried installing Win98SE on my other PC, but it kept having driver
problems and such - well it is an AMD64 machine.

I found a distro of Linux that I really like and fully works on that PC...
Linux Mint. In the past I have had problems with Linux not recognising one
of the following: a) Ethernet port. b) SB Live 24bit Sound card. c) NVidia
Graphics Card. Mint recognised them all with no trouble at all.

Now see here: http://oricspider.home.insightbb.com/pics/Linux_Oric.gif

After trying DosBox and VirtualBox, I discovered DOS Emulator and it works
great!!!
I copied my entire Euphoric folder from this PC over to that one, and ran
Euphoric from DOS.
As you can see in the picture, all is working well. Even the sound is
fantastic.

The only problems I am having is:
a) having to enter the full address of the TAP or DSK file each time. I do
have the Euphoric folder in PATH, so no problem in running the program from
anywhere. To run my most used DSK files, I set up batch files to run them
with one word commands. That works.
b) When in Microdisk mode, and selecting F1 then pressing ENTER on Disk B:,
I do get the list of files in my DISKS folder, but when I arrow down half a
screen, Euphoric and/or DOSEmu crashes.

These above problems are been worked around, but any suggestions would be
appreciated.
