I now realise it has been a long time since my last post on this
newsgroup, as I now usually use the forums at defence-force.
Anyway, in order to expand the announce as much as possible, here I
am. I would like to invite all of you to test the new Oric game Space:
1999. A new isometric adventure game (using masked sprites Filmation-
style) game for our favourite computer (disk-based systems).
Maybe you have followed the development and announces in the defence-
force forums...
Any suggestion/comment/bug, please let me know.
For now it is only available for download at www.oricgames.com (thanks
to Maximus) in both English and French versions. Soon it will be also
in defence-force.
Happy playing!

Thank you so much Chema and Team 1999 for all your hard work.
The project looks excellent!!!
I looked at it last night on my XP machine, and it looked and sounded great,
but now loading it onto my Win98 PC for better sound quality.

Absolutely amazing work.
BTW, I found Helena, after her constant telling me to come help her, and
when I get there she then tells me to "Hurry up" with the rest of the
mission.
I have a good mind to jump in an Eagle and just leave her! :)

You have been living in sin. But it's not too late to redeem
yourself.

The in-game graphics are super-nice. Congratulations to those
responsible (Jon ?).

Yes, as well as the music and sfx... It is said in the credits (see
the manual) and in the initial scroller.
The intro was made by Dbug mainly (with Twilighte's music).
I constructed the isometric engine (NOISE-Novel Oric Isometric Engine)
and the upper abstraction layer (WHITE World-Handling and Interaction
with The Environment) and some minor initial graphics (such as
Helena's head). The primary idea was building up a kind of
demonstration of the engines, but the baby soon grew up totally out of
control, and I ended up finishing this...
It is not a hard or long game though... more like a big demo :)
Cheers
