Keyboard shortcut in Xcode

Hi,
I have been working on a code in Xcode, and had given certain Keyboard
shortcuts to menu item. I had these shortcuts working fine. Later I
added a few functions in code( without touching the menu items in
Interface builder). In the newer version of my program, one of the
Keyboard command doen't work, it works only by clicking on the menu
icon.(It still works in the older version of the code, for which I had
a copy saved). I have checked all the files including the preference
files generated for the code. I cannot figure out the reason for
disappering of this keyboard shortcut on compiling.
Can anyone give me some idea about potential cause of this problem.
