Current bid is $40.00 for a FREE item that you can ask from Apple.

This one must the most amusing item that I've seen on eBay,
the last one was a scanner antenna ($5 item from Radio Shack) that the bid
was closed at almost $50 last week.

Amazing ...

Paulus,

These items are only free if you had purchased them originally from Next.
Which I did four years ago. And spent almost $800.00
for. $40.00 is quite a deal for someone who has not purchased NextStep yet.

Not to mention is the full package, with docs and for Sparc, Intel,
NeXT and PA-RISC. Or do they all have that anyway?

I'd say so! Especially since those, like myself have been wanting to get back into NeXTStep for a long time but had no other avenue but Apple. I can't see spending $799 for an OS even if it is the greatest on this rock we call earth. For that much you can just about purchase the majority of parts for an entire computer system. What gives?? You would imagine if it was obsolete and they had tons of copies...or just a few..they'd want to get rid of them. Odd! Apple doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
