Newton 100 help

This is one for those 'who can remember'.

Recently I cranked up my original Newton 100 (?). It is still working well
with the exception of writing recognition.

When I write a word or note, Newton reads it as either a day or a month
without exception. For example if I write 'help' Newton thinks I wrote
'Sept'. 'house' is 'Thurs' , 'doors' is read as 'Aug' and so on.
However, when I write a word in the 'Assist' box, Newton reads it perfectly.

You're just lucky it didn't say "egg freckles"

The OMP, yeesh, I remember using one of those. My, my what we put up with
back then.

It might depend where you write. If you write in a field that expects a date,
then the recognizer for that field will try to recognize what yoU write as
something that might represent a date. Other than that, I don't know. I've
never heard of such problem.
