Several Newton users recommended us to put this announcement in Newton news
groups. As you probably know CalliGrapher handwriting recognition technology
(originally introduced on Newton devices) is now available for Microsoft
Windows powered Pocket PCs, Handheld PCs and Desktop PCs (desktop version of
CalliGrapher is called PenOffice http://www.paragraph.com/penoffice.html).
We were actually told by our ex-Newton customers who use Pocket PCs now that
the latest version of CalliGrapher 6.3 "...is getting closer..." to Newton.

New in CalliGrapher 6.3
* ScratchPad allows users to save CalliGrapher ink file as a JPEG image.
* Improved setup application allows installation of CalliGrapher 6.3 on top
of the previous version: it is no longer necessary to uninstall the previous
version before installation.
* Improved touch screen driver: single tap now works when selecting items
from the most recent applications menu on Pocket PC while CalliGrapher is
active. It is no longer necessary to tap and hold.
* PenCommander and on-screen keyboard now correctly support special symbols,
such as the new Euro symbol.
* The new version of CalliGrapher also includes many other bug fixes and
performance enhancements.
Pricing, Availability, and Support
CalliGrapher 6.3 is available now. It is a free upgrade to all registered
users of previous versions of CalliGrapher 6.0 or later. Registered users of
older versions of CalliGrapher can purchase an upgrade at discounted price.
English language support is included with Calligrapher 6.3. French, German,
and Spanish language dictionaries are sold separately.
New users can purchase CalliGrapher online through the PhatWare Software

All registered owners of CalliGrapher will receive unlimited technical
support via email and free program updates (if available).
