Whats the difference between an MSX2 and an MSX2+?

That's nostalgia there. I learned to program on a HX-10 at age 11 and
12. :)

Yes. Good luck finding a floppy drive interface, though.

No, the original MSX supports 64K of RAM maximum and that's what the
HX-10 came with.

The MSX2+ has extra, more capable video modes compared to MSX2. The
MSX2+ only ever came out in Japanese versions, but there have been
unofficial extensions for European models. Otherwise, very little.
Note that the HX-10 is an original MSX (a.k.a MSX1), though, and the
difference between MSX1 and MSX2 is much greater.

Beg to differ. The MSX has a slot-system which provides for memory
banking. The standard defines 4 slots, and each slot can again be
extended to 4 sub-slots.
So, on an MSX-1 you can address 4x4x64kB = 4096kB. 32kB are filled
with the system ROMs, leaving a theoretical max of 4064kB of RAM.
On MSX-2, the limit goes up a bit further since each subslot can
contain a memory mapper with up to 256x16kB.
