I'm trying desperately to get my daughter off her Pc onto one of my macs.
Problem is MSN messenger won't work on OS9.1 and she hates Mac Messenger.
I got a SuperMac G3/250 (for free!) and it works fine on my Mac LAN.
Can I use OS X on:
her SuperMac 250MHz w/128MB RAM?

my PPC 7500/100 upgraded to 300MHz w/172 MB RAM?

my G3 / 266 w/128 MB RAM?

If so, I'll cough up the cash and upgrade to OS X
which OS X though?

Thanks.....DaveC....

Hey Dave,

The G3/266 should run 10.2.8 natively, and the others. as long they have
a G3 processor (upgrade) will run the same with XpostFacto. 128mb is a
bit low, but it will run, as with everything, more ram is better.
I'm running 10.2.8 on a 8500 with a 250mhz G3 and my daughter runs MSN
Messenger fine, and she appears to be happy... or at least happy for a
teenager.
You can find 10.2 on eBay for pretty cheap and the updates to 10.2.8 are
free downloads.

Xpostfacto is supposed to support 10.3, but I never had any luck with it
on the old machines.
