SCSI hard drive question
Hi all! :) I bought a 9.1 gig SCSI hard drive for my PowerMac 7300/180, but when I ran Drive Setup, and cliked on the drive, I got the message - 'Cannot modify a disk with non 512 byte sectors' and the initialize button is greyed out so I cannot initialize it. Does this mean that I cannot use this drive? Or is there some way around this?... more »

Help - Trouble Using CD-RW to Transfer from PC to Mac
All, I am a fairly naive user and am having some problems transferring data from my office PC to my Mac G5. OBJECTIVE: I have extensive large files (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) on my office PC. remove foreign language and translation "stuff"
I bought a 40-gig mac mini and 10.3 was preinstalled. I just read that doing an install and taking options that did *not* install 1) the many printer drivers; 2) support for non-English languages and translations, would save me about 1.1 gig of hard drive space. I'd rather not have to do a reinstall, and I found the printer driver... more »

@@@@@ Help a Newbie out @@@@@
I wanted to learn how to use a Mac, so my instructor at school gave me a old PowerPC 7200/120 he had laying around. The problem is that it starts the boot process, puts a couple of icons on the desktop, but then it freezes at about 20% and won't continue after that. I know nothing about Mac's, I need a couple of things to set me on the path... more »
