Whomever Apple sources it from at the time of manufacture. This changes
from time to time.

Rather depends on what you're looking for. If you want the best internal
HD for your PB, consider that replacing the HD on new PBs is not the
easiest thing in the world to do. Someone who isn't comfortable with
tearing their brand new computer apart would find Apple's to be the
best. Someone with little money might find the cheapest one to be the
best. Some might find the fastest, or quietest, or,... but you get the
idea.

Not I. We now return you to your regularly-scheduled "When will Apple
release a G5 PowerBook?" thread...

Let 'indiana' be a 'noln', and 'hoosiers' be a 'solkk'.
Leave only the 'noln' and .edu after the @ to reply .

Seagate makes a 100gb/54k:
<http://www.dirtcheapdrives.com/Itemdesc.asp?CartId={EC6C24C8-6AAC-4259-BFE9
-EE183329DF91}&ic=ST9100823A&Tp=>

You'll pay a premium over the 42K, though. Almost $100.00 more.....
