Network Printing Issue
|
| |
I've managed against the odds (I'm a self-confessed Luddite) to set up something resembling a network in my home office and am running an imac (with router attached by yellow ethernet cable and a macbook Pro which connects by Airport. My printer is connected to the imac by a usb cable and has no ethernet port/socket so i can't attach it to my router.... more »

The Future of Brain-Controlled Devices
|
| |
Darn, I am going to miss interesting articles like this in the future, because my limited finances required me to resign memberships in the ACM, IEEE, AAAI. ACM had this article recently, which among other things shows that those speech recognition apps we all find so "frustrating" might be totally obsolete in the future, because we will... more »

I'd like to kiss Snow Leopard

Almost since it was new, I couldn't get any browser to work, using all normal funtions, on it. Safari mostly worked, but would bog down after a couple of hours, whether I was using it or not, and wouldn't... more »

Email

Hello folks and happy new year. I'm a long-time Eudora user. Suddenly I discover something I need that Eudora can't do so I wondered if it's time to switch to Mail. But, on even a superficial examination, Mail appears to be way short of a professional standard. Just one example ‹ Apple calls Mail's "search"... more »

The misconceptions about me
|
| |
Many of you think I am a troll. Many think that I am Mark Conrad or Priam. But many of you have forgotten your history and cannot remember the troll of all trolls. Perhaps one of the resident trolls recruited me to help them in their failed troll activities. Or perhaps I am a innocent Mac user looking for answers just like the rest of you.... more »

Sinking the G5 line
|
| |
Is it normal that a company as rich as Apple stops supporting the G series 6 months after the end of the extended guarantee while it has all the OS X code in its hands and all that is left to do is compile it for the PowerPC architecture? Pretty much all Linux distributions support Mac's PowerPC line. How... more »
