Does any one in this group have or know someone that has and is using
"AT&T U-verse" that is the new at&t TV, phone, and internet I would
like very much to know what the thoughts are on it..

Have a couple friends that swear by it and have phone (actually stayed
with phone) cable and internet. One had some problems initially with
installation, but after a second person came out and redid it, they have
had no problems.
We are thinking about transitioning after I get a chance to
actually sit down and do the math.

I'm using AT&T U-Verse for Internet access and digital TV, but not
phone service. TV service is fine, DVR seems to work really well.
Internet speed is good. My only complaint about the Internet service is
that it appears that AT&T blocks outbound TCP port 25. Fortunately, my
outbound SMTP servers use SMTP/TLS over TCP port 587.
