The other day, someone remarked that with the failure of Windows 8,
Apple lost an opportunity by not relaunching MAC vs PC ads to grab
people who need a new PC and don't want Windows 8.

In a soft market, being agressive can get you a bigger share of the
smaller pie.

Thoughts ?

In article <51951d6f$0$46952$c3e8da3$9b4f...@news.astraweb.com>,
Apple is big enough, smart enough etc., so they can take care of
themselves. Although I prefer apple products to Wintel products, I am
not in love with Apple. Aside from warrantee work and some promotional
effort, they want my money, not my interest. I am not one to wear Apple
shirt. I never did understand the love relationship of fans with their
teams or other super stars.

That OS X 10.8 may still be less iOSified than Windows 8, but I'm still
happier without even the lesser of two evils.

I mean what would the ad say?

Regards,
Jamie Kahn Genet, who is sticking with OS X 10.6.8

Heh. It this battle it works (to some extent..) both ways.

Me, too.

The next release of Windows 8 will be less iOSified. Microsoft
tried to drag their OS out of the past, but failed. Apple is
also trying. I am unimpressed with them, as well. If I want to
compute on a phone or a tablet, I'll get one and use it.
