Subject: Strange applet behaviour CW9 v JDK 1.0.2 v Nav 3.0b5

I have an applet that graphs functions. It has two frames. The input data
frame is the applet panel itself. This has a button labeled "Graph" on it
which if pressed switches to a second frame and draws
the graph in this frame. The second frame has a button labeled "Input" which
takes you back to the applet panel for new input.

The strange behaviour is that this runs perfectly under CW's applet runner
but is irregular under JDK 1.0.2. The irregularity is that upon returning
to the input window the "Graph" button must be pressed twice because the
first time the second frame is not shown.

On Nav 3.0b5 the applet shows the input panel and when "Graph" is pressed
the graphing window appears but nothing is drawn.

Has anyone encountered this strange behaviour? If so, help would be most
appreciated.

Many thanks,

Bernard Banks
