So I've got 19,100 tracks 'matched' in iMatch. So iTunes 11.0.2, on a Mac
mini, sees and plays 'em all. So I have a iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, which sees
'em all... but doesn't play 'em all. Example: one playlist is Bruce
Springsteen, Born to Run album. Ripped it myself from the CD. iPhone plays
the first four tracks, skips over track five ("Born to Run") and plays the
rest of the album. It flat refuses to play track five no matter what I do.
This is far from the only track which simply will not play on the iPhone but
which plays just fine on the Mac mini.

It gets better. The Born to Run album is also part of my general Bruce
Springsteen playlist; on the Mac mini, the whole playlist works. On the
iPhone, several tracks, including "Born to Run", do not play. I also have a
Windows machine authorised to play my music... and the _only_ track which
plays in the entire Bruce Springsteen playlist is "Radio Nowhere". Again,
there are many other tracks which work fine on the Mac mini but which do not
work on the Windows system. (Win 7 Ult, iTunes 11.0.2) Every track which does
not play on the iPhone also does not play on the Windows box, and many tracks
which do play on the iPhone don't play on the Windows box.

I was under the impression that once stuff was 'matched' in iTunes Match I'd
be able to play it anywhere. This does not appear to be the case, or perhaps
I'm Doing It Wrong.

Similar situation here, although it's only with a couple of songs. The
iPhone and iPad just skip right over a few songs that were matched, while
iTunes reports that my computer is not authorized and prompts for my Apple
ID. When I provide my ID, I am informed my computer is already authorized
to play the song, and iTunes skips over it.

okay, so that's two with the same problem. it's not my setup or hardware...

In article <kjuf7...@news3.newsguy.com>,
This is a me too post.

I've had other problems with iTunes Match, like:
- crappy, scratchy sound
- a track that ends six minutes early (it's obvious when listening,
documented by comparing to the CD)
- outright refusal to play a track - no reason given, it just won't
