Hi, I've just acquired a tangerine iBook G3 (300MHz). Currently it has
the basic PC66 64MB RAM. I want to upgrade to 512MB but I can't find
any PC66 anywhere - can I use the faster PC133 and it work OK?

Also, I want to upgrade the hard disk from the meagre 3.2GB to
something more substantial - if I buy a refurbished drive that's
formatted in FAT32 and swap it for the one that's already in the
machine, what will happen? Will the machine startup and allow me to
format the drive? Can I format the drive in 'Mac format' on a Windows
machine before I install it into the iBook?

Sorry but I'm an absolute Mac beginner! Any help appreciated :)

Thanks,

Tariq
