monitor troubleshooting

Help!!! I dont know what is my problem
Some on the Apple forms say I have a loose graphics card chipset with my iBook G4 and why I get the occasional Kernel panic (although NEVER EVER IN SAFE MODE). He says that my card itself may be good and why neither the Apple hardware test nor Tech Tools pro can find the problem. From the AppleForms... more »

Bad video dimensions on Apple-TV
Hi, I've some mpeg-2 videos which look fine with VLC. When I translate them to MP4 with iSquint, the image is not at the right dimension. It's not a problem as I can choose the right dimensions on the Mac. But when I synchronize with Apple-TV, how can I tell Apple-TV to use the right dimensions ? Of course I would like to get the whole scrren of my... more »

Fast video cutter / joiner - not final cut pro ?
Hello, I'm a video newbie. Here's my noob question: I sometimes have downloaded video files which I want to cut in (avi, mpeg, wmv, typical) and sometimes I want to assemble small pieces of those files: avi, mpeg, wmv etc... I tried Final Cut Pro, however I think it is slow. I'm looking for a very fast video cutter / joiner. I tried something on windows:... more »

Asking again: Recommended small projector?
Anyone willing to offer informed recommendations for specific current models of a modest-price "personal" LCD or DLP projector, for projecting primarily slides and PowerPoint presentations directly from a MacBook, in conference room type settings? [The problem is, there are so many models, I don't know where to start.)... more »

Capturing w/Videovision PCI Powermac 9600 Newertech G4 400
Wanted to capture some analog footage so I got my 9600/G4 400 out of storage and started on Mac 9.2.1 The radius codec I used to capture (VVPCI 1.3) played back Green and pink artifacts. If I captured to another codec it was fine. I then downgraded to 9.04 with the same issue and went back as far as... more »

David Carradine 1936-2009
Yksinkertainen kysymys: "Mitä Suomen valtion kansantalous saa tehtyä niillä 100% puhtailla energiamäärillään, joita sille tuottaa esim. wanhasta palaneesta vesiekosähkövoimasta kunnostettu perinteinen pienvesivoimalayhtiömme Lapijoen sähkö 12v aikana. 10 000 000kWh?" Kertoen selkeää viestiä siitä miten oikeasti energianhuoltoamme pitäisi suunnata... more »

Apple TV/Video system remote control and System 7.6
...Found it. After much searching and finding other posts by other people on other forums, most of which went unanswered, I stumbled upon the solution. The solution was surprisingly simple. I don't understand why it worked, but it did. I simply unplugged the Mac and pressed the Power button. To my surprise, it made the clicking sound like it was... more »

EyeTV Hybrid (2008) vs EyeTV 250 Plus
A month or so back, my wife decided she'd had enough of Windoze, so got me a new 2.53GHz 13" MacBook Pro. (Mmmmm, Firewire 800....) She's taking my late 2008 2.2?GHz MacBook. (In't she *SWEET*?) At the time of the original MB purchase, I got a Pinnacle HD Stick for Mac. It worked sorta ok, but it often brought the MB's fans on and Elgato should... more »
