what kind of data dvd? generally, combo drives only read dvd-r, not
dvd+r.

just about anything available these days does both dvd+r and dvd-r.

no, what i'm saying is that any dvd drive made in the last several
years should read both + and - media.
I see - but have to give up on this DVD. Maybe the person who recorded it forgot to finalize it or something. Thanks for the help.
