I especially agree with the last point. Speed will continue to be more
important over time. The Wintel platform is going to loose the speed war
with the RISC processor. This year, with the advent of the 350Mhz PowerPC,
NT servers will start crossing over to Macs. That trend will continue as
over the next 12 months we see first 500 Mhz and then 700 Mhz RISC chips.
Next year your choices will be the same as they are today, but serious
production houses, whether Mac or PC will be drooling over RISC based
systems that can run either the Mac OS or NT. Intel, eat your heart out.
