Does anybody know what Reality Bytes is up to? I haven't heard anything from them since the release of SO (which IMHO failed because of the lame demo only- the game itself rox). I'd be interested to know if they were planning on releasing any more 1st person games for the mac.

Reality Bytes is alive and well - if you feel like communicating with thm directly, send an e-mail to rby...@netcom.com . I've always recieved a response within a couple of days...
And really! Sensory Overload hasn't failed. In fact, Reality Bytes has finally worked out deals with some of the major mail order places as of just last week! Now, it's possible that the much hyped Marathon is going to make things hard for Sensory Overload, but at the present time (and I think you agree with me here) it's the best first person game out there. IMHO.
I mean, all those irregular tunnels below the main level with sloping ramps, secret doors...
No word on if they plan to release a second first-person game. After the lashing they took for the SO demo, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to go code for the PC instead. I sure hope they follow up this effort with another great game, though. (If you compare this first effort with Bungie's Pathways into Darkness, we should expect great things from this company in the future...)
My two cents worth, again. I really like this game.

We've been up to a lot! We've been selling lots of SO, and working with the major Mac mail order catalogs to sell even more. As someone had mentioned earlier, MacZone recently got the product in stock, and I believe MacWarehouse and MacConnection should soon if they don't already. (And no, that wasn't an endorsement for any one over the others! :)
For those of you who buy from retail normally, we're also in ComputerTown for those of you in the NorthEast, and ComputerWare for you CA natives. We're working with all the major retailers to get it on their shelves -- let us know if there's a particular retailer you're looking at, and feel free to bug them about it too.
On the future plans front, you can be assured we plan to release additional games in the future. We have a few projects simmering on the burner, and CSMG will be the first place to hear about anything we make public.
If you have comments on SO, future ideas, or you need SO hints, feel free to contact us! We scan CSMG on a daily basis, so posting here is fine too.

As a suggestion, have you considered redo-ing the demo to give more of a flavor of the game? Perhaps add or replace one or two of the current levels with those later in the game that give a real flavor for the game. All the positive comments from actual game players has certainly gotten my interest.
