Colonization redux

Huh. It turns out they've spun off the Civilization IV engine
to make a new version of Colonization:

with the plan for a Mac OS X version.

I did like the original and I'm certainly in the market for an
updated version. It strikes me as kind of nuts to have just a four
colonial powers, like in the original game, though. At a minimum the
Portugese and Swedes deserve their chances, and there's other footnotes
which could have been made playable yet challenging nations (eg, the
Swiss).

I hope the economic model is something exciting, although I
admit my standard for that is Victoria.
