there any decent flight sims. for an 030? The IIsi is maxed (!?)out, well,
maybe "maxed" isnt the correct term.Any help is welcome.(E-mail or post

The following are games that work/I own/work on my 030.

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat - Pretty, fast, not terribly realistic, very fun.
F/A 18 Hornet 1.0 - Works on a Mac Classic II! (Tried it myself) Very
realistic, pretty, qucik like a bunny
Valkyrie - Nice Helicopter game. Graphics equal that of HellCats.
HellCats - Never played it, but I know it works on slow Macs.
Falcon - Extremely realistic, very difficult, not a lot of fun
F/A 18 Hornet 2.0 - Too slow for 030's. (Mine anyway.)

There's more, but heck if I know of them.

Microsoft's Flight Simulator v.4 for Mac runs well. Electronic Art's
Chuck Yeager's Air Combat was written for 68K, but not having color
would suck.

In a world that is passing me by I find that all the good games
require a PPC to run. However there are lots of cool games of
yesteryear that only need an 040 processor. I have a decent
collection myself, but find that all my games are starting to get
boring and repetative, maybe if we got together we could make a list
of the games that work good on our machines and where to find them

A few of my favorites are:
hornet 2.01
hellcats/leyte gulf
PGA tour golf II
Sim city
and of course monopoly

what about you guys.

Ooh! Ooh! I have some! :)

A-10 Attack! (Not Cuba, though)
Marathon
X-Wing
Rebel Assault
Sim City 2000
Harpoon II (Barely)
Myst
WarCraft/WarCraft II
Just about any Ambrosia game
Rebel Assault II and Dark Forces work, but verry sslloowwllyy.

Or maybe:

Fokker Triplane (awesome with Thrustmaster)
P-51 Mustang Flight Sim
Chuck Yeagers Advanced Flight Trainer
Valkyrie
Tetris
Shadowgate
Dogfight City

I got my original copy of Fokker Triplane when I had a Mac Plus. It was
good then. I've since bought everything Don Hill has written and he would
occasionally send me updates to Fokker when I bought the others. He's a
good guy with pretty good stuff.

The Machine arranged the bits thusly:
: HellCats - Never played it, but I know it works on slow Macs.

Well, I can tell you that Hellcats is a blast. If your machine is up to it
(and I think a IIsi would be fine, heck I ran it on a Colour Classic) the
game is a deadly smooth barrel roll of fun. Heartily recommended.

: Falcon - Extremely realistic, very difficult, not a lot of fun

Had the black and white version of this. He's right. Realistic but basically
crap fun. Stuff happens too qkickly for the black and white graphics to
give you ANY idea of what is going on. The auto-level key is a joke (in a
spin? Hit the key...level flight in under a millisecond). I used to run
this on two Macs (SE/30 and Colour Classic) side by side (it networks, see).
Then I'd fly in formation, hit autolevel and go ant make a sandwich. 15 mins
later, the planes would still be there, cruising along in perfect formation.
Mind you, I did like the side view with the view of my hand on the throttle.

: F/A 18 Hornet 2.0 - Too slow for 030's. (Mine anyway.)

Yep. Need a 040 and could really do with a PowerPC chip.
