too much video for Spectre VR

I found the Spectre VR on Amazon still in the original box, and cheap,
and thought I'd try an old favorite.

My wife's iBook G4 with OS10.4 will load it, but it won't run.

It complains that I need 256 colors or less, and the iBook won't drop
below thousands of colors....

...although on second glance, I see that 256 colors is greyed out on the
display panel.

Does that suggest it might work on an external monitor? Or is there some
other workaround, perhaps using ResEdit?

You'll need an emulator like Sheepsaver to do what you want.
