Newbie:UnReal 2004 connecting modem to modem question

I want to play a game of Unreal Tournament with a freind,
I want to play modem to modem, just can not figure
were the IP goes to connect to my friends computer?

We are both on Macintosh computers and have
played modem to modem on other games like
Ghost Recon and Quake. I just boughtt this game
and have a few questions.

My other question was setting up a game w/ the bots,?
Can this be set up so the 2 players are on the same
side against the Bots in Multiplayer?
