I'm just starting to do some networking to find employment and I want to keep track of everything. I'm using some strategies in a book I've read.

Anyway, I am new to an iPad maybe 3 weeks ago, and I am noticing something about importing the COntacts list from the Mac Computer. I have a total of 265 cards in the Contacts list on my Mac, but when I synch or connect iCloud, I only import about 105 of the cards.... more »

Bento 4 Demo Question

Hi. I'm interested in testing Bento 4 to see if it fits a project I'm now working on.
However, I tried the demo last year and so when I ran Bento tonight after downloading it, Bento told me the trial had expired.
I then restarted my Mac using an external drive and tried opening Bento that way. But, Bento again said my trial has expired.... more »

iPhoto crash

I have iPhoto 6.0.6 on a Mac G4 running 10.4.11.
It works fine until I try to empty the Trash, which contains 1,318 photos; then it crashes, or rather "quits unexpectedly". Reopening it produces the original situation. I have tried repairing permissions.
Is there any other way of getting rid of those photos to free up the... more »

The font is smaller in many displays from finder windows to the content of DevonThink and Unison and damn near everything else. Smaller not better.
Anyone know how to undo this "feature"?

downloading movies from my Itunes to my Ipad

I have downloaded a few movies before from my Itunes on my Mac to my
ipad2. Today I tried to download ATL to my Ipad but the operation was
halted with an error message informing me that the Ipad was not
authorized for the movie. What is special about this movie. Other
movies work fine, not this. Its some kind of licensing mojo but I need... more »

Safari bookmarks - colouring

It occurred to me that it would be a useful thing to colour Safari
bookmarks for older people whose sight might be less than 100%.
I can't find any way of doing it, so I thought the Guru's on this NG
would know if such a thing is possible.

How are they getting this to start in the background? I've checked my login items. I've checked /Library/StartupItems. I've looked in /etc. No joy. I've now sent them a question about this, as I don't want to delete the apps, but I don't want them running in the background stealing performance when I might invoke them every blue moon or less... more »
