Netscape 3.x and Graphics Applets

I have some applets that Netscape3.x with Java on the Mac have never been
able to run. The applets call a frame in which graphs are to be drawn, but
nothing happens. These applets run fine under Navigator or MSIE on Win95 and
on the Mac Os Runtime for Java, so I don't believe it is my code. The URL is

Try running GraphingApp. Enter f(x)=x^2 on the input page. The others can be
blank.

Applets that do not call the Graphics class seem to work except all screw up
the text area and scrollbars in the applet frame on N3.x Mac.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
