In general, the news servers that propagate your post will strip
binaries it their aimed at non-binary groups. I saw your post, but the
news provider I use (supernews) stripped the binary attachment before
it got to me.

While some may let it through, posting to a binaries group or putting
it on a web or ftp server and posting a URL will ensure it gets to the
largest number of people.

I'm relatively new to usenet and my client program (unison) doesn't
strip anything so I assumed everyone else could see them too (like I
can).
